We're excited to announce that the Bitbucket Data Center 7.17 Long Term Support release is now available.
Bitbucket Data Center and Server 7.17 is a Long Term Support release
This means we’ll continue to backport critical security and product bug fixes to 7.17 throughout its standard 2-year support window. In addition, when architecturally possible, we’ll also backport all other security bug fixes.
This allows you to get the maximum value from our continuous product development without strictly keeping up with the frequent release cadence.
Long Term Support releases are designed specifically for larger, more complex instances – ones that require significant planning and effort to upgrade. We understand that upgrades for such instances can be few and far between, and so every one of them needs to count. So, if you can manage only one feature release upgrade every year, make sure it is to the latest LTS release.

Long Term Support Release roundup
It's been about 11 months since Bitbucket Server and Data Center 7.6 was released as a Long Term Support release. In that time we've shipped a huge amount of value:

We offer Helm charts on GitHub for installing and operating Atlassian products on a Kubernetes cluster of your choice.
Helm is a package manager for Kubernetes that allows you to package, configure, and deploy applications and services onto Kubernetes clusters. Helm uses a packaging format called charts, which are collections of files that describe a related set of Kubernetes resources.
The Kubernetes cluster can be a managed environment, such as Amazon EKS, Azure Kubernetes Service, Google Kubernetes Engine, or a custom on-premise system.

Rolling upgrade incompatibility
Version 7.17.6 is incompatible with rolling upgrades. It is not possible to upgrade from any version < 7.16.6 to any version >= 7.17.6.
Remember to renew your active software maintenance license too.
