Bamboo 10.1.0

Release date:

Here's what's new in Bamboo 10.1.0.

New login experience with two-step verification

We’ve overhauled the Bamboo login experience and added a second authentication layer to keep your account secure. You can now set up two-step verification and verify your identity with an authentication app when you log in to protect your Atlassian account. Explore how to manage two-step verification

Improved integration with GitHub

We’ve introduced the webhook-based integration of Bamboo with GitHub, making branch, code change, and pull request detection much faster while reducing resource consumption. This new integration allows Specs branches to function seamlessly with GitHub.

We have improved the configuration process by implementing a specialized GitHub trigger, thereby eliminating the need for remote triggers. The webhook can now be easily configured directly within Bamboo with just a few clicks.

Password policies for user passwords

Password policies allow admins to customize and enforce robust user password requirements for enhanced security. By implementing these policies, organizations can effectively manage password strength and safeguard user accounts.

To configure password policies, go to Bamboo Administration, then Security, then User directories, and select Password policy.

Create plan branches with new permissions

Users can now get permission to create plan branches without requiring admin rights for the parent plan. The new permission extends the Build permission, allowing users to create and execute new plan branches. However, to modify any details of the plan branches, you still need to have the Edit permission.

Support for Java 21

Bamboo's performance and stability have significantly improved with the introduction of Java 21 support, which is now accessible on both the server and agent sides.
