Installing and licensing ProForma

ProForma for Jira Service Management

Starting from Jira Service Management 10.3, ProForma is free of charge. However, you still need to install it manually on your instance. If you’re using Jira Service Management 10.2 or earlier, ProForma requires a valid paid license. Want to switch to the free version of ProForma? Upgrade your instance to the version 10.3 or later

I'm on Jira Service Management 10.3 or later. I want to install ProForma for the first time

For Jira Service Management 10.3 and later, ProForma is automatically available free of charge upon installation. To install ProForma:

1. Go to Administration, then Manage apps, and then Find new apps.

2. Search for ProForma: Forms & Checklist for Jira.

3. Select Buy now.

This will automatically install ProForma on your instance. The app will be free of charge and won't ask you for a license after installation.

I'm on Jira Service Management 10.3 or later. I’m already using ProForma. Is my ProForma free now?

If you already had ProForma installed before the upgrade, you were required to pay for its license at that time. However, after the upgrade, ProForma becomes automatically free of charge. In case you want to check your license details:

1. Go to Administration, then Manage apps.

2. Search for ProForma. You should see it as a User-installed app type.

3. Search for ProForma: Forms & Checklist for Jira.

4. Check if ProForma holds the license details.

The license should no longer be displayed or required, which means you no longer pay for using the app.

I’m on Jira Service Management 10.2 or earlier. I want to install ProForma for the first time

For Jira Service Management 10.2 or earlier, ProForma requires a separate license. To install and activate ProForma:

ProForma for Jira Software

For Jira Software, ProForma requires a separate license. The scenarios below assume that you don’t use Jira Service Management with your Jira Software. If you’re using Jira Software together with Jira Service Management, go to ProForma for Jira Service Management.

I want to install ProForma for the first time

To install and activate ProForma:

1. Go to Administration, then Manage apps, and then Find new apps.

2. Search for ProForma: Forms & Checklist for Jira. The app will be marked as Paid.

3. Select Buy now and install ProForma.

Upgrading from ProForma Lite to ProForma Full

You can upgrade from ProForma Lite to ProForma Full at any time. Forms created and filled out in ProForma Lite will remain available once you’ve converted to the full version of ProForma.
