Summary

When attempting to configure the Xray Test Management tool for a new project, we encountered an error: "Error rendering web panel. The Xray health check has detected errors upon installation. Please contact your Jira administrator."

Environment

Jira Cloud.

Cause

All Xray web panels will display an error, and all Xray features will be disabled if the health check status of the Xray app is critical. (e.g., if there is a missing issue link type, users won't be able to create links between the Requirement and Test issues).

Solution

• We can check the Global Permissions and  atlassian-addons-admin has all the permissions for the addon to work.
• Also, we can check whether the issue is with the app license from the Jira side.
•  It's indeed recommended by the Xray app vendor to reinstall the app if you encounter such a problem:

• The solution is to reinstall the app. If the error persists, We need to contact Xray support so that we can help find the cause of the invalid configuration.
