How to Get existing Board Access in Jira Cloud

Step 1: Check the Board Filter
- Navigate to the Board:
- Go to the project where you want to create or access the Kanban board.
- Click on the "Boards" dropdown menu and select the board in question.

- Click on the "Board" dropdown menu.
- Select "Configure."
- In the configuration menu, go to the "General" tab to find the "Filter Query."
- Check Filter Permissions:
- Click on the filter link to view the filter details.
- Ensure that you have access to view and use the filter. If you don't, request the owner of the filter to share it with you or to adjust the filter permissions.
Step 2: Update Project Permissions
- Navigate to Project Settings:

- Click on "Project settings" in the left-hand sidebar.
- Manage Project Roles:
- Under "People," check the roles assigned to your account.
- Ensure you are assigned a role that has the necessary permissions to create and view boards.
