Cannot un-restrict Jira project on Zendesk integration

Summary
When trying to move a project from the Restricted Projects section to the Allowed Projects section in the Zendesk Support for Jira app, user see a generic error "Failed to save changes" even having all the proper permissions set.
Cause
This is a browser issue with Safari, which inherently blocks third party website traffic.
Solution
Use another browser like Firefox or Google Chrome.
