Summary

Trying to authenticate addons (Example: Stagil - issue picker app) fails with an error stating "Access denied. This app requires access to a Jira & Jira & User identity & Jira Service Management site which you don’t have or don’t have the permission to access."

Cause

Not all the permissions or products that are required for the addon to function is not present in the instance/site

Solution

• Check if you have all the products required as per the error message displayed. In this case, Jira Software and Jira service Management is required. If you do not have any of the product in your instance, then you will get the error message stating "Access denied. This app requires access to a Jira & Jira & User identity & Jira Service Management site which you don’t have or don’t have the permission to access."
• If the customer do not want to use these products but still need to use this addon, then you can suggest them to add the missing product with free pricing so that the functionality does not get impacted.
