Join Atlassian and Appfire for a 45 minute webinar discussing Crowd, Atlassian's Single Sign-on and identity management product. Does the openid provider support pluggins?
Currently the Crowd OpenID provider does not provide plugin support.
What was the server architecture for support of 1 million users in your case study, how does it scale?
Appfire cannot share this data because of privacy reasons.
We can however share what we run www.atlassian.com on. The website and OpenLDAP servers run on dual core, raid5, 4GB ram servers with 300k+ user entities.
What about application connector for Openfire. I heard it was coming soon, but that was a long time ago.
We're looking at our 1.7 roadmap and this is an item we are considering for that release given the large number of votes.
So with Jira /Crowd, can Crowd 1.6 now 'autojoin' users to say 'jira-users' thereby requiring no manual intervention or specific AD group membership settings? Its more like I dont want to have to manage new users, at all. If they can authenticate, I want to grant access. Currently In Confluence we have the ConfluenceGroupJoiningAuthenticator, and Jira, well, thats using a nasty hack. To use crowd in replacement of these authenticator stacks I need crowd to be able to automatically add new users, on authentication, to whatever application specific minimal-access group is defined (having 'right to use' the given product).
Crowd does not auto-join,but if you add the user from JIRA, they get added to jira-users automatically. If you add them through Crowd, you have to manually add them to the group.
