A version is a set of features and fixes released together as a single update to your product.

In GreenHopper version 6.1.6 and later, you can quickly create new versions in Plan mode.

To create a new version,

  1. Log in to JIRA.

  2. Click the Agile link's down-arrow in the top navigation bar, then select your preferred board from the resulting dropdown menu.

  3. Your board will be displayed. Click Plan.
  4. If the Versions panel is not shown at the left of the screen, select Tools > Show Version Panel.
  5. Click the Create icon (the "+" sign) at the top right of the Versions panel (see Screenshot 1).
  6. Choose the relevant project and type a name for your new version.

  7. You can optionally specify the version Start Date and planned Release Date.
  8. Your new version will be added to your board's Versions panel.
