Deactivating a Bamboo user
Deactivate a Bamboo user account (rather than deleting it), requires you to change the password so that the user cannot login.
To deactivate a Bamboo user:
- Choose Administration, and then Users in the left navigation panel.
- Click Edit for the user to be deactivated.
- Enter a new password for the user.
If you have configured SMTP email on your Bamboo server, the user will automatically receive an email containing their new password. - To get around the email problem, enter an invalid email address in the Email field, for example foobar@fooobaremailaddress.foobar.
- Delete the user's Instant Messaging Address so that he or she does not receive notifications on build events.
- Click Save.
