Symptoms

This was encountered in Crowd 2.7.2. Please contact Atlassian Support if the issue is encountered in different version of Crowd.

Crowd stops writing trace in the log (<crowd-home>/logs/atlassian-crowd.log).

Diagnosis

Check if <CROWD-INSTALL>/crowd-webapp/WEB-INF/classes/log4j.properties is modified.

Cause

The crowd-ga-directory-connector-0.7.4.jar file located in <CROWD-Installation>/crowd-webapp/WEB-INF/lib is causing Crowd log to be updated.

Resolution

Remove crowd-ga-directory-connector-0.7.4.jar file located in <CROWD-Installation>/crowd-webapp/WEB-INF/lib.
