Summary

According to our documentationQuestions app access is governed by Confluence space permissions. Furthermore, there are also additional permissions that must be set on for this add-on.

Environment

Confluence Cloud with Questions for Confluence add-on.

Solution

First of all, please note that the Questions app permissions are managed individually on a per space basis. Once the Questions plugin is installed, a Global questions space is created with key = QC, and permissions should be managed for it, but also for any other individual spaces on your site.

Follow below steps to manage permissions for this add-on:

  1. Access the Confluence Space in which you would like to manage Questions permissions.
  2. Click on Space Settings, on the sidebar.
  3. Navigate to the Space Permissions section, and then click on Apps option.
  4. Make sure that Atlassian Connect Plugin is selected on the drop-down.
  5. In this page, you are able to manage permissions to View, Add and Delete questions for the groups you want to grant access. To edit them, just click on Edit Permissions, perform the changes you are willing to, and then click on Save all button at the bottom of the page.

According to What can guests see and do in Confluence, the Questions app currently doesn't support Guests.
