This article provides a comprehensive overview of how elements from your legacy editor pages are converted when you migrate to the Confluence cloud editor.

If you continue to use the legacy editor

You will continue to have the option to update pages in the legacy editor. However, there are some downsides to continuing to use the legacy editor:

  • No bugs fixed in the legacy editor unless it's a major incident.

  • No enhancements made to the legacy editor.

Learn more about the Atlassian Cloud Editor.

What to Expect

  • Most elements convert seamlessly: You won't need to make any adjustments to most content after the conversion.

  • Some elements require attention: This article focuses on elements with specific conversion behaviors, categorized into two sections:

    • Elements that can't be converted: The cloud editor currently does not support these elements. We provide information on alternative approaches and solutions within the cloud editor and our plans for future support.

    • Elements with modifications after conversion: These elements convert but may require minor adjustments to ensure optimal presentation or functionality in the cloud editor. We detail the specific changes and offer guidance on how to address them.
