Problem
Oracle frequently releases new versions of the Java SE Runtime Environment, which include performance improvements and/or bug fixes. Upgrading will help Confluence and other Java based applications run better. We strongly recommend to keep this updated to the latest supported version for your version of Confluence.
Cause
Some Java versions contain bugs that cause problems with Confluence, and as such shouldn't be used. Click on the version for more information about its bug.
Resolution
- Download the latest supported JDK/JRE. Check supported Java versions for your version of Confluence here.
- Configure Confluence to point to the new JDK/JRE.
