Summary

While migrating to a clustered Data Center instance, the attachments folder need to be moved to the shared-home directory as described here:

It is possible to delete other folders from the local home directory to save disk space.

Environment

  • Confluence Data Center clustered (multi-node).

Solution

The following directories can be safely removed from the local home directory as their equivalent ones will be created in the shared home folder:

local-home/imgeffects
local-home/shared-home
local-home/thumbnails
local-home/viewfile

To confirm the location of the local home folder, check the file <Confluence-install>/confluence/WEB-INF/classes/confluence-init.properties
