Problem

When Administrator tries to disable captcha, the change is not stored when Save button is clicked.

When making the following actions...

1. Go to Administration >> Security Configuration
2. Click Edit
3. Uncheck the "CAPTCHA on login"
4. Click Save

The change made on CAPTCHA on login is not stored. There's no error in atlassian-confluence.log specifically related with this occurrence.

Diagnosis

Environment

• This issue occurs in Confluence Cloud Release (5.6-OD-x) and above

Diagnostic Steps

• Ensure that the Server Base URL is correct (Configuring the Server Base URL)

Cause

The option is no longer managed by Confluence on Cloud:  CONF-37435 - Getting issue details... STATUS

Resolution

• Login with System Administrator permissions to edit the option
• Upgrade to the new standard Confluence Server release (Upgrading to a standard Confluence Server release)
• If the issue persists in the new Standard Confluence Server release, please contact Atlassian Support to get assistance on this issue.
