Problem

You are not able to install a plugin on you Confluence instance via Confluence Administration page >> Find new add-ons, after migrating from Confluence Cloud to Confluence Server.

The following message will be shown on Confluence UI instead.

"A system administrator has disabled your connection to the Atlassian Marketplace server. In the meantime you can search for new add-ons and updates on the Atlassian Marketplace website"

Cause

The account that you used to login doesn't have the sufficient System Administrator rights in Confluence.

As stated in our Migrating from Confluence Cloud to Server documentation, to login to your instance with the respective System Administrator rights, you will then have to log in to your instance with the sysadmin user account.

Resolution

Login to your Confluence Server instance in by using the following credentials and re-attempt to add the plugin again.

  • Username: sysadmin
  • Password: sysadmin
