Cause

The Filter Query in use for the gadget is set to Private, or it is deleted.

Solution

Identify the filter in use for the gadget, then have the filter's owner change the filter from Private to another option.

If the owner is no longer available or is a disabled user, use the Manage filters functionality to change the filter's owner:

  1. Click on Settings > System > Filters
  2. Locate the filter in question, then click the three dots menu > Change owner

Note: if the filter is deleted, a new filter query will need to be created.
