Environment

Cloud

Diagnosis

Verify if there is a custom field called "Due Date" under custom field section of the site.

  1. Navigate to Settings -> Issues

  2. Under FIELDS, select Custom fields.

Verify if this custom field is added to the Issue type screens of the Project.

Cause

If there is a custom field created with the same name "Due date" ( which is actually a system field present by default in Jira) then any changes made to this custom field will not get reflected onto the Roadmaps of Jira. More details about Start date and Due date scheduling can be found on the page Epics in Roadmap

Solution

Make use of the system field "Due date" in Basic Roadmap, for scheduling, by adding it to the appropriate screens of the project. Do not create custom field with the same name as the system field. Rename 'Due Date' custom field to a different name to avoid any confusion.

Note that this system field will be not be shown under Custom fields section.
